Laminate Flooring in the GTA

Durable, budget-friendly, and styled to look like real wood (backed by a licensed, insured team serving the GTA for over 20 years)

What Is Laminate Flooring?

Laminate is built with a durable, printed wear layer fused over a dense fiberboard core, designed to replicate the look of hardwood or stone at a more accessible price point. That construction makes it highly resistant to scratches and everyday wear, holding up well in busy households without the cost of natural materials.

Laminate installs as a floating floor, meaning it isn't glued or nailed to the subfloor (this makes it a fast, clean installation in most rooms). It's available in a wide range of wood-look and stone-look finishes, giving you the design flexibility of premium flooring while staying within a tighter budget.

Installed the Right Way

Laminate is installed as a floating floor, which means it's never nailed or glued to the subfloor. Instead, it rests on a proper underlayment that also helps with sound dampening and comfort underfoot (getting this layer right makes a noticeable difference in how the finished floor feels and sounds).

Like hardwood, laminate expands and contracts with humidity, so we leave the correct expansion gaps at every wall to prevent buckling over time. We also start with a flat, well-prepped subfloor, since laminate shows imperfections just as readily as vinyl does.

Frequently asked questions

How much does laminate installation cost?

Cost depends on the size of the space, the product you choose, and your subfloor condition. We provide a free, no-obligation quote after an on-site assessment so you get accurate pricing for your specific project rather than a generic estimate.

How long does installation take?

Most residential installations take a few days to a week, depending on square footage and whether any subfloor prep or old flooring removal is needed. We'll give you a clear timeline before work begins.

Is laminate as durable as hardwood or vinyl?

Laminate holds up very well against scratches and everyday wear thanks to its tough wear layer, though it isn't waterproof the way vinyl is. For spaces with regular moisture exposure, like bathrooms or basements, we'll help you decide if laminate or a waterproof alternative makes more sense.

Can laminate be installed over existing flooring?

In many cases, yes (as long as the existing floor is flat, stable, and in good condition). We'll assess your subfloor during the consultation and let you know the best approach for your space.

Do you offer materials without installation?

Yes (if you already have an installer or want to handle installation yourself, we can supply laminate on its own). Just let us know what you're looking for and we'll help you find the right fit.

How do I maintain laminate flooring?

Regular sweeping or vacuuming and occasional damp mopping (not wet mopping) are usually all it takes. Avoiding standing water is especially important since laminate isn't waterproof.
